Parents of high school band members know how expensive it is to have a kid in the marching band. Meals before football games, music lessons, instrument repair plus travel to and from performances and competitions. All of these are reasons why Shawn Jones decided to use his skills organizing car shows to benefit the Rouse High School Band Booster Club. His son, Riley, 17, just happens to be the Drum Captain of the drumline.
The Rock-N-Ride car show held Saturday, March 4, 2017, in the parking lot of the Rouse High School Football Stadium attracted die-hard car enthusiasts despite the rain. More than 200 cool cars were on display along with performances by the drumline members and vendors were on hand offering refreshments. Moonshine Sweet Tea sponsored the cool car event to help raise funds for the Rouse High School marching band. Moonshine Sweet Tea believes youngsters should have the opportunity to participate in all kinds of extra-circular activities for a well-rounded educational experience.

About Moonshine Sweet Tea
Moonshine Sweet Tea started in 1946 out in the Texas Hill Country, in the small town of Mason, Texas, by Leo Cobb Porter: the great grand-dad of Joele Porter. The mission to make a much sweeter and more robust tea started with late night brewing, earning this “outlaw brew” its name way back then. Today Moonshine is still brewed, one kettle at a time using only hand-picked black tea leaves, clean filtered water and 100% cane sugar. Nothing else. Founder Leo Cobb Porter’s great grandson still puts his seal of approval on every batch of this non-alcoholic Moonshine. You’ll taste the difference in its unique flavored teas, in addition to unsweet and a concentrated bottle. Every bottle of Moonshine Sweet Tea that’s sold, contributes to Moonshine’s corporate commitment to donate money directly to children’s charities across the country.
